Terms of Service
Plain terms for the software and the optional hosted evaluation services. Effective 2026-09-22.
1. The software
WhiteMagic is free, open-source software under the MIT License. It is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. You are responsible for how you deploy it and for the data you put in your stores.
2. Optional hosted services
Two hosted services are offered for evaluation: a read-only recall lane at mcp.whitemagic.dev and a stateless receipt-verification API at api.whitemagic.dev. They are rate-capped, carry no service-level commitment, and may change or be discontinued. Evaluation keys are issued at our discretion and may be revoked.
3. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to bypass rate limits, disrupt the services, or use them unlawfully. Keys that do may be suspended.
4. Data
The software is local-first and has no required network path. The hosted lanes process only what you send them; what they record is described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WhiteMagic Labs is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the software or the hosted services. Aggregate liability is limited to the amounts you paid us for the service in question (zero for the free evaluation tier).
